Palomar Council PTA serves 26 local PTA Units in the Poway Unified School District (PUSD). Our goal is to inform and inspire our local units so they can achieve their goals. We provide ongoing training and support of unit officers, and encourage their advocacy and legislative efforts. Palomar Council is the liaison between the units and PUSD, PUSD School Board and the Poway Federation of Teachers Union. We also assist district PTA leaders in the organizing of new PTA units. Our programs include Giving Tree (formerly Adopt-a-Family, helping families in need during the holidays), Reflections (a state-side art competition), Awards & Grants program, and new for this year we will be hosting an intra-district elementary-wide Spelling Bee. Council General Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of September, November, January, March and May. Please see the Calendar tab for more information.
